Queensland's Projects in Play

Queensland is leading the charge in PeopleIN’s infrastructure space with our brands supporting over 60 sites, in the lead up to Brisbane 2032 and the projects and plans before, during and after, to sustain growth and a thriving and diverse state. This infrastructure cycle is supported by AWX in the mining, civil and construction space, Timberwolf in the timber manufacturing space, Vision Surveys, laying the groundwork for upcoming projects and Mobilise, our business branch taking a large scale project in demolition and shutdown.
Just over 50% of the Group’s revenue is from Queensland’s projects and 60% of our engineering, trades and labour division revenue is generated in Queensland, reflecting a big ramp up for the Sunshine State’s workforce capacity, facilitated by PeopleIN.
Queensland is delivering an ambitious $119.2 billion injection into infrastructure up to 2029. The pipeline will give confidence to businesses, investors, labourers and their relevant sectors that high impact projects will support the future of Queensland in housing, community spaces, energy, and economic development.

From group CEO Tom Reardon’s perspective: “Queensland is building at nation-leading scale that changes what's possible for the state and its self-sufficiency, but none of it gets built without people on the ground to do the work. This can get missed in conversations about projects and projections. Roads, dams, mines or Olympic venues all come down to having the right people. PeopleIN is set up to deliver that across the whole state, get the workforce right and this pipeline gets delivered properly. That's the job. No other business has the labour mobility as the largest employer of foreign workers of any staffing business in Australia that has the framework proven across Asia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa and the pacific. This is achieving an increase productivity and retention that is industry leading for our clients while maintaining a sustainable cost of project delivery.”
Brisbane 2032
Brisbane 2032 is a cornerstone for Queensland’s projects. Our brands are on the ground in developing venues that will host millions of spectators, both locally to internationally, athletes and the businesses that got the projects there. Currently, Vision Surveys is working on the Fitzroy river in Rockhampton for the proposed rowing course and the Group is future planning for supplying skilled workers for Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine Coast’s venues, and the Sunshine Coast’s heavy passenger rail line, The Wave.

Queensland's biggest infrastructure projects need a workforce that can work in environments with big potential and plans and AWX and Mobilise are already on site.
AWX is part of some major movements in North Queensland, civil works and roads at a mine in Weipa and road maintenance along the Bruce Highway between cairns and Townsville, expansion works at the Port of Townsville and a connection update for the Burdekin bridge in Ayr.

Mobilise is supporting a long-term contract for a mining client in their water supply for a disconnection ahead of a demolition. Site-wide shutdown crews and structural remediation are handled. Housing developments are also in play to be ready for a growing economy.
Environmental investments
Queenslands’s natural landscapes are a focus piece for preservation and rejuvenation. Vision Surveys is behind the scenes on some of the state's biggest environmental and renewable energy projects, providing the survey and LiDAR (drone surveying) work that gets them off the ground and into civil projects that make an impact.
These impacts are a redevelopment of Boodjamulla National Park's roads, services, campsites and visitor areas, Stage 1 of the Boulder Creek Wind Farm near Mount Morgan, and the Smoky Creek Solar Farm near Biloela, a dual-site development paired with large-scale battery storage.

The Gold Coast is receiving a refresh with Vision Surveys prepping the recreational facilities, trails and protected koala habitat to be installed in a nature space.
Timberwolf is handling large-scale planting across a biobasin at the Brookhaven Precinct which will filter stormwater and stabilise natural vegetation. The boots on the ground environmental work PeopleIN supports gives Queenslanders something to feel an investment in.
HEALTH & EDUCATION
Students and medical professionals will benefit from AWX providing the construction workforce at Townsville University Hospital, and on the Gold Coast, Vision Surveys kicking off the works and surveying for HATRIC, a new health and advanced technology research facility at the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct.
Looking forward, the road to 2032 and beyond is optimistic about growth, especially with a projected $119 billion injection, delivering a workforce that is part of a state-wide commitment to growth, fostering Queensland’s strength in sector-leading development and international recognition.
