Vision Surveys (QLD) has been operating in Queensland for over a decade, with the three Directors having a combined local presence of over 50 years. Vision Survey provide comprehensive Mining, Engineering, or Cadastral Land Surveying and Town Planning Consulting. 
   
About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Survey Technician to support surveying and spatial data collection across land development, construction, environmental and infrastructure projects. Working closely with Surveyors, Engineers and Project Managers, you will contribute to both field and office activities, ensuring accurate and reliable geospatial information to support project delivery.
   
Key Responsibilities
Fieldwork
  • Conduct on-site surveying using total stations, GNSS/GPS, levels and laser scanners.
  • Assist with boundary, topographic, engineering and construction surveys.
  • Ensure safe and accurate operation of equipment.
Data & Technical Support
  • Process survey data using GIS and CAD software.
  • Prepare maps, diagrams and reports.
  • Maintain data accuracy and industry compliance.
  • Support project documentation and equipment maintenance.
Compliance & Safety
  • Follow WHS requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain accurate survey and field records.
   
Skills & Qualifications
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Surveying or Spatial Science (or equivalent).
  • Experience in field surveying, GIS or spatial data management.
  • Proficiency in survey instruments, AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Clear communication and ability to work collaboratively.
