The opportunity
PeopleIn are seeking a dedicated IT professional to work in our environment as a IT Data Analyst. In this role, you will make informed, evidence-based decisions by collecting, cleaning, analysing and visualising data. The role partners with stakeholders to translate business questions into analysis, deliver actionable insights, and improve data quality and reporting processes.

Key Accountabilities
  • Providing our stakeholders timely, accurate reporting and analysis that supports decision-making and operational requirements
  • Creating dashboards/reports that are adopted, trusted, and have clear metric definitions
  • Ensuring data issues are identified early and resolved through effective root-cause analysis and collaboration
  • Assist with any data ETL requirements that are raised with the IT team
  • Analytical outputs are well-documented and reproducible
  • Improved data quality and reduced manual reporting effort over time
  • Assist the organisation to evolve it’s data architecture and build out big data and automation capability
What you will need
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Data/Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience
  • Certifications or experience with data analytics tools or data analysis (Power BI, SSIS, SQL, Python)
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong SQL skills (writing and optimising queries; working with joins, aggregations, CTEs and window functions).
  • Experience with data visualisation and dashboarding (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and reporting best practices.
  • Competence in spreadsheet modelling (advanced Excel/Google Sheets).
  • Understanding of data governance concepts (data quality, lineage, metric definitions, access controls).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
