The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to take ownership of the day to day management, performance and growth of our branch. As Branch Manager, you will lead the team while supporting the commercial and operational objectives of AWX. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service delivery, developing your team, strengthening client relationships and driving sustainable branch growth.
This includes responsibility for:
- Leading and coordinating the branch team, including allocating work, monitoring workflows and creating a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Coaching, training and mentoring team members to build capability and improve performance
- Acting as an escalation point for employee matters, complex client issues and operational decisions
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships and secure repeat business
- Ensuring service delivery meets client expectations and agreed Service Level Agreements
- Identifying new business opportunities through market trends, industry networks and client relationships
- Supporting branch revenue growth through portfolio expansion and strategic account development
- Managing branch budgets, forecasting and workforce planning while maintaining effective cost controls
- Working closely with Finance on debtor management and financial risk
- Maintaining strong branch compliance and audit readiness
- Ensuring branch operations comply with employment legislation, modern awards, WHS requirements and company policies
- Overseeing key operational processes including timesheets, pay queries, invoicing, debtor control and Recover at Work strategies
You are an experienced leader who knows how to bring out the best in a team while maintaining a strong commercial focus.
You are confident managing competing priorities, building relationships with clients and stakeholders and making decisions that support both operational performance and long-term growth. You understand that a successful branch is built on great people, strong client partnerships, sound commercial decisions and consistent service delivery.
You will also have:
- Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of recruitment pricing models, margins
- Sound working knowledge of employment legislation, modern awards and workforce risk management
- A strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment and the ability to deliver recruitment outcomes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage challenging conversations and conflict constructively
- The ability to build strong client and industry networks and identify opportunities for business growth
